O2 To Offer Home Phone Service To Broadband Customers
O2 made an announcement today it's soon to offer existing home broadband customers the chance to also receive a home phone service through its network as well.From March this year this offer will be available exclusively to existing fixed-line broadband customers, forming a bundled deal.Speaking on the announcement, Sally Cowdry, UK marketing director at O2 said: This is the most important launch for us in the home space since we entered the broadband market and is part of our strategy to evolve beyond mobile to a leading connectivity brand. She continued: "We know how many of our customers value the convenience of paying for their home phone and broadband together with no hidden extra costs, and we will be bringing the same commitment to quality of service with our home phone service as we have successfully established with our broadband."
Two different home packages will be available to O2 Home Broadband customers but they will need a working BT landline. For those who want unlimited calls to UK homes at the evenings and weekends the price will be set at £9.50 per month. Alternatively, an Anytime package is also available for £12.50 per month. With this option callers are given unlimited calls to UK homes, 0845/0870 numbers as well as landlines in over 20 international countries.
